Eco-Block ICFs are hollow blocks or panels made of Expanded Polystrene (EPS). A construction crew stacks these forms to create the exterior walls of residential as well as commercial buildings. Reinforcing steel is then added and the ICFs are filled with concrete. This creates a very strong and energy-efficiant combination of concrete, steel and foam. After the concrete has set, the forms stay in place and become the wall's insulation.
Enviromentally Friendly: Use of wood products in construction reduced.
Energy-Efficient: Provides superior insulation lowering heat and cooling costs.
Sound-Suppressing: Interior rooms are shielded from outside noise.
Quickly Constructed: One house per day with a four-man crew.
Extremely Strong: Walls are "cast-in-place," monolithic, reinforced concrete.
Versatile: Use any interior or exterior finish.
Fire-Retardant: Up to a four-hour Fire Resistive Rating.
