The winners of the King of the Mountain Revealed
Everything looks on the base of Lift 4 different. What once was a pretty girl Misty turned into a race track, this is far from any typical racing circuit. Just like motocross, was in a Misty Maiden ski cross course, complete with the whole train of rollers and gaps converted.
The King of the Mountain series this year is actually 14th in Telluride, at its Season. The King of the Mountain series is also known as the most prestigious snow racing series in the world considered. And last weekend, competitors from other parts of the world has come to attend to the most coveted King of the Mountain title, to win the $ 450,000 prize money, two years the current lease of any new Jeep Patriot and an additional bonus of $ 20,000 cash.
For this year's King of the Mountain Series two Categories have been added, namely the ski cross and snowboard cross, respectively. Telluride's Y-Cross racecourse has the skills of the elite skiers and snowboarders in the world tested. Competitors have different conditions of snow and high winds to a wonderful experience bluebird day. It can be concluded that the competitors all the way in Telluride did.
Last Friday was the finals for the men and women, ski cross, and here is the result:
--- U.S. native Casey Puckett (men Division) crowned 2007 World Champion Professional Skiing
--- France Ophelie David (female division) crowned the 2007 World Professional Ski Champion
For the category Cross Board, the results are as follows:
--- Canada Drew Neilson and Stratton Mountain, VT, Lindsey Jacobellis won the 2007 World Professional Champion Snowboarding Securities plus cash prizes and brand new Jeeps.
For those who missed out on all the action at the King of the Mountain Series last weekend in Telluride here's your chance to see it, it is on 24 March 1 clock and 25 to 02.00 Broadcast on 1 March until 2pm on CBS Sports.
