Is this a good bright flashlight for camping?
CREE Q5 LED 260 Lumen Flashlight Torch Ultra Bright in the BSA and was in there for bout 2-3 years now. I am looking for a better flashlight. The 260 Lumen Cree Q5 LED Flashlight Torch Ultra Bright is made, "Surefire" (as he says). Please help!
It certainly took a Bright Light. A problem with such a bright light, is that it does not take long. In some of the specs I saw, it would run for four hours on the battery. That should be enough for a night out. If you are you can go out two nights power. I have not used the Surefire brand. Certainly $ 50 is expensive. I personally prefer a spotlight. With a spotlight I can work with both hands. I will even use a headlight when I'm not camping. I would recommend two flashlights Man Camp would be a 30 lumens or less headlights are round. The second would be a 1990 lumen or more light, for emergency travel at night, or only for high performance. It is good to take a middle power camping flashlight. If you are at home in the middle of the night, because the head of an emergency. You do not want to be a small pen light that things do not show use in your path or lack of them as a rock. LED is the way to go, it takes 10 times longer. The Maglight is less expensive than the CREE Q5. Maglight has a good quality. Brinkman makes good flashlights flashlights I have had bad luck at Princeton brand and Gerber brand. Enjoy your camping.
