Mycaa Military Spouse accounts - fund restoration!
Are you an active duty military spouses who put her education on hold after losing MyCAA Fund had? On 13 March 2010 made the Department of Defense (DoD) has a very special announcement about MyCAA military spouse accounts - funds for accounts being restored currently open.
This means that military spouses who have existing accounts have access to the entire MyCAA site. This includes the ability to create and have financial documents approved.
This good news follows an earlier announcement that the DoD would MyCAA program temporarily given on hold for an indefinite period. Now, military spouses MyCAA accounts can do what they have done initially - to pursue their education.

What is the MyCAA program?
The DoD Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts program provides military spouses with up to $ 6,000 of financial assistance for the conduct of training, lead a license, certification, authorization or degree and a portable career.
Who is eligible?
After the recent changes made by the DoD on 13 March announced, you will need the following to be eligible for MyCAA:
- Be a spouse of an active duty service member or spouse of an activated member of the National Guard / Reserve who are on Title 10 orders
- Currently have an existing / open account MyCAA
What does cover MyCAA?
- Education and training courses
- Professional Licenses, licensing exams and related preparatory courses
- Certifications
- Credentials
- Training Education (CEU)
- Courses
- High school graduation rates and test ED
- English as a Second Language courses (ESL)
Is MyCAA cover the cost of materials and articles with my training to get connected?
The following terms are not covered under MyCAA:
- Computer
- Various electronic items (laptops, iPods, etc.)
- Registration fees
- Membership in the association
- Student Activity Cards
- University entrance exam preparation courses or relatives
- Health Care Services
- Child Care Services
- Transport and parking fees
- Graduation fees
I have an existing MyCAA change. How are the funds provided to my training program or school?
MyCAA with your existing account, you need a to create training plan. Your training plan can include: your career field of interest, a job description / job, the name of the training program or school, and of course Information (ie cost, of course name, course code, etc.). You need to provide information for at least one course.
Next, your MyCAA Financial Assistance (FA) submission is made. Upon approval of your MyCAA funds made directly available to the program or the school you will be given on a course by course basis.
How do I go about choosing the right portable career?
As a military spouse, you probably have your share bear of PCS moves. So why not train MyCAA funds for a portable career? And there are some good options to consider. For example, you can use your resources in MyCAA an online school (also portable) enroll and pursue a career in the health system medical transcription.
In fact, many medical transcriptionists from home, and with proper training and experience, companies often start their own transcription! This is a positive career option for busy military Spouses who want to contribute to their family's financial stability, but also need to juggle the responsibilities of being a parent of a spouse during is provided.
