Unlike a sailboat that runs on wind power, a power boat is a boat that works on mechanical energy. Most Boats and motor boats are now powered by an engine which it is attached. There are different types of boats that are used today, and while some are for Fisheries meant there are other boats as the race drivers, which meant for recreational activities. The main types of boats, which you can find today are: - Dinghy - This is a motorboat that a 2 stroke or 4-stroke engine used. It is a small motor boat and can carry about 3 people at most. Usually made of wood, fiberglass and aluminum, an inflatable boat is made for use in lakes well and might not be the best option for the negotiation of large water areas. - Powered inflatables - Inflatable Motor boats in different sizes. Those who are bigger, from stronger materials that can absorb a larger number of people. Most inflatable boats do not have any accommodation or cabin, which can be used for protection from rain or storm. - Catamarans - These are boats that are hard and may take 10 carry persons or more. Catamarans are relatively stable and usually two hulls that are connected to the deck. - Cruiser - The cruiser is also a motor boat by a few people can be used to spend the night in. It is large and generally with amenities that can be equipped for an overnight stay required.
