Coleman Canoe from walmart, what prices do yall have?
I called walmart today to find out how much their canoes are, and they said 368. I was like, are you sure? That sounds really cheap. And he checked again, and said the same thing. These are the polyethylene, or however you spell it, plastic type. Also, if anyone out there knows, are these worth getting? I'm sure if that price is right, i can't go wrong, but just curious what people's experiences are with them. Thanks.
I have an Old Town Guide. It's 14.5 ft with styrofoam in between the poly stuff - a "tri hull". I think it's a better canoe. Mine holds 50 lbs more than colemans 16 ft. It was on sale for 340.00. Normally, I think it's around 450.00, but you see them on sale a lot in the spring. I don't know if those will float ther own weight after submertion, but you should check on that.The styrofoam in mine keeps it just above the surface when fuul of water. One other thing I found out - The "carrying weght" they advertise is actually the "gunwall touching water the water weight". Of course there's a story behind that info. Good luck.
